Keeping your skateboard wheels clean is paramount to a good skating experience. Failure to do so may lead to skateboarding accidents that would have otherwise been avoided. What Can I Use To Clean My Bearings?

Use mineral spirits or rubbing alcohol to clean the wheels. This should be able to remove any dirt or sticky residue from the wheels. Fill a small bucket with the solution of your choice and submerge the wheels. Then remove them and dry them. You can also use a mild detergent or dish soap and water to clean the wheels.

Soak them for 10 minutes, then remove them and dry them using a piece of cloth or paper towel. If they are too dirty, scrub them gently with an old toothbrush to remove any tuck debris. Then clean your bearings with citrus cleaner and dry them thoroughly. Then proceed to oil them to prevent rusting.

Clean Rust Off Skateboard Trucks

Use a piece of rug to apply Brasso to your trucks to remove the rust. Rub until the rust is removed. Repeat the process if need be. Once all the rust is removed. Wipe the trucks to remove any leftover Brasso. Then oil them to prevent rusting in the future.

Reassemble the bearing inside the wheels as they should be. The reattach the wheels on the skateboard. If you do this every few months, you will be able to increase the lifespan of your skateboard’s wheels.
